A Day in the Life of a Gorilla

Everyday I wake up in the everyday struggle. I have to hustle to survive. People bread gorillas to protect us but now I have 15 kids. I have to fight everyday to help these little brothers out. People don't understand what its like to live in the jungle. There is no shelter and I always have to be on the lookout for crazy animals trying to eat me. Instead of giving us food people need to give us some shelter. Build me a house don't plant me a tree. The only reason we live in trees is because y'all never provide us with any real housing. The fact is I'm out of my prime. Back in my glory days hippos and hyenas would come through and I would teach them a lesson. Everybody in the jungle new not to mess with this tribe. But these new gangstas are coming up through the jungle. They just don't care they run around like they don't have a care in the world. They could care less whether they live or die. But once these 15 little monkeys grow up I'll be able to retire as the head gorilla. I don't want to die fighting like my father. I want to spend my later years in a stick hut with my women. Now that's the day in the life of a gorilla.

  1. Last group: The names and relations were sometimes inconsistant. Seemed like the connection was strong. So was some of the language. Started out school appropriate, but you might's wanted it to stay that way. It was very funny, nonetheless, and the characters were well preformed by all group members!

  2. The Kardashian group made a very humorous modernization. The choice of characters was perfect because everyone knows who they Kardashians are, and the meaning was uncovered. Everyone owned their characters pretty well, but they oculd have known their lines and positions better. At times the dialogue distracted the group and they got out of character for a second, but most of the time they did good. Very funny!

This Play was very funny and group was on task most of the time. There were definitely some really good parts in it, but also some parts were written a little bit sloppy.

  4. For Group 4: You did an overall good job in translating the play into the kardashians, but at some points you could have modernized the parts better, instead of consistently switching from lamar being their dad and then to being the brother in law. It was really funny though. Most of you did really good job acting! And Scott did a really good job from switching his roles. The meaning was shown. Pretty good job!
